Varicose vein treatment with foam sclerotherapy

This small varicose vein behind the knee is treated with foam sclerotherapy. The images show the dark (anechoic) vein on the scan and the white (echoic) butterfly needle in the vein. STS or polidocanol foam is then carefully injected using ultrasound to confirm the position of the foam. The patient walks out wearing compression stockings for two weeks. There is often a light brown “ghost” of the vein which soon fades as the healing process removes the treated vein.

Other vein treatments are microphlebectomy  EVLA(laser)and microsclerotherapy for spiderveins.

If you have varicose veins or similar and you would like to have them removed please contact me. I would love to help.
