- We then target deeper feeding veins, employing laser technology for sealing or foam-based treatments.
- Following the treatment, a bandage is applied. We often recommend light walking as part of the immediate post-treatment regimen.
- For ongoing post-procedure care, wearing compression stockings for a fortnight is advised to support blood circulation and reduce potential deep vein thrombosis risks.
Recovery from Varicose Vein Removal
After the varicose vein removal procedure, it’s natural to experience bruising and swelling. These visible signs will diminish with time. I suggest that patients take it easy in the days following surgery and wear compression stockings as much as possible. Compression stockings boost blood flow and significantly reduce the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
