Private Cyst Removal
Cysts are fluid or semi-fluid-filled sacs which appear just under the skin. They are often unsightly but are quick and easy to remove. Get in touch to find out how I can help with private cyst removal.
How can I help with Private Cyst Removal?
We will ensure that removing your cyst is as comfortable as possible. It is a good idea to take some paracetamol before your visit. Relaxing music and also a tapping technique that I use will make your procedure as pleasant as possible.
Having removed your cyst the wound will be closed as accurately as possible under magnification. The stitches used are soluble so there is no need for a return visit to remove sutures.

Find out how I can help
If you’d like to find out more about how I can help with Private Cyst Removal then an initial consultation can be arranged at your convenience.

What is Private Cyst Removal?
Cysts occur when a sac filled with fluid forms on or under the skin. This can happen due to a number of reasons, including blockages in the oil glands or hair follicles. Cysts can be painful and can cause swelling, redness and inflammation.
If you have a cyst that is causing you pain or discomfort, it is important to see a doctor or dermatologist. They will be able to determine the best course of treatment for you. In some cases, cysts can be removed surgically.
What does the treatment for Private Cyst Removal involve?
Removal is a quick and straightforward procedure under local anaesthetic and your wound will be closed with absorbable stitches.

Recovery from Private Cyst Removal
Recovery needs time, and cyst removal recovery is no different. The face heals within a week or so, but other areas of the body take longer. Absorbable stitches usually last 2 -3 weeks, occasionally longer.
What you can expect from Private Cyst Removal
Your wound may be covered with a small dressing when you leave. Once this comes off, I usually ask patients to apply antiseptic cream to help the wound to heal well. For scalp cysts it is possible to wash your hair the next day, just being gentle with the area.
