What is Neck Mole Removal?

A mole on the neck can arise due to various factors:

  • Genetics
  • Sun exposure
  • Pregnancy
  • Hormonal changes

Moles develop when skin cells grow in clusters instead of spreading evenly throughout the tissues.

In most cases, neck moles are perfectly healthy and lack concerning features such as bleeding, changes in shape, size, colour, or crusting. However, to provide peace of mind, I ensure that every mole I remove is sent to a consultant pathologist for further evaluation.

If you have noticed a recent change in your mole, the NHS offers expedited diagnostic services to assess the situation. The results of their evaluation will determine whether the removal of your neck mole is necessary. If you have observed any changes in your mole, it is advisable to schedule an appointment with your regular GP for further evaluation.

It is important to note that the vast majority of moles are benign, meaning they are non-cancerous in nature.

What does the treatment for Neck Mole Removal involve?

Our procedure employs a local anaesthetic to numb the area effectively. Once the anaesthetic takes effect, the neck mole is precisely removed under magnification.

The resulting micro wound is closed using soluble stitches, also under magnification. You won’t need a follow-up appointment as the stitches will dissolve on their own.

You can trust in our meticulous and attentive approach, ensuring a seamless experience and promoting optimal healing.

I recently had two cysts on my head removed by Simon and his lovely nurse Becky. They made me feel at ease and the quality and care was very professional. Simon explained everything in detail, was extremely focused and Becky was just the tonic to settle any nerves.

There was very little discomfort, the aftercare was explained in detail and I’m happy to say, after 6 weeks the results are amazing.

I would highly recommend Simon and his team without hesitation.

I would like to express my thanks to Simon Payne for the removal of the two large anal skin tags that were a terrible nuisance.

The procedure was painless due to the application of the numbing gel and subsequent injections and was completed quite quickly.

I had expected a lengthy healing process but was very surprised that after two to three weeks with little pain and no bleeding the problem had been successfully resolved.

I would certainly recommend consulting at his surgery and it was also far less expensive than other private clinics. Ten out of ten!

He explained everything clearly and I felt happy and confident to go ahead with the procedure. The removal took just 45 minutes and I am delighted with the results. In 6 weeks everything was healed and stitches gone, and no after care was needed. Thank you Simon.
