Facial Mole Removal

I offer facial mole removal under local anaesthetic. This quick surgery can have a transformative effect on your self-confidence. Facial mole removal healing happens quickly, and the scarring is often virtually invisible.

How can I help with Facial Mole Removal?

You’d be surprised at how quickly facial moles can be removed and the transformative effect the procedure can have on your self-confidence.

Most moles have no suspicious features (bleeding, altered shape, pigmentation variance), but for peace of mind, every mole I remove is sent to the lab for a consultant pathologist to examine. If you’ve noticed a recent change in one of your moles, the NHS offers a rapid diagnostic service. If this is the case, then please book an immediate appointment with your regular GP.

I have decades of experience carrying out precise surgery and private mole removal at the top of my field. The care of my patients is always the priority.

Find out how I can help

If you’d like to find out more about how I can help with Facial Mole Removal then an initial consultation can be arranged at your convenience.

What is Facial Mole Removal?

A facial mole can occur when skin cells form in a cluster rather than being evenly distributed. Facial moles can be triggered by a number of different factors including, but not limited to, genetics, sun exposure, pregnancy or hormones.

Most moles are entirely harmless. Occasionally and rarely, a mole can develop into melanoma. Melanoma is a dangerous form of skin cancer that requires urgent medical attention.

What does the treatment for Facial Mole Removal involve?

I can remove your unwanted mole in a single walk-in, walk-out visit. The consultation and treatment can be included within the same appointment.

For facial mole removal surgery, the surrounding area is numbed with a local anaesthetic. Once the area has been numbed, the mole is removed under magnification.

Now the mole’s removed,  I stitch the small wound with micro-absorbable stitches. These stitches dissolve, removing the need for a follow-up stitch removal visit.

Recovery from Facial Mole Removal

Mole removals on the face or nose heal quickly. You can expect healing to take place over a week or so. The small, absorbable stitches typically last 2-3 weeks. You can read more about facial mole removal recovery on our blog.

You’ll be pleased to learn that facial mole removals have the quickest healing time of any mole removals on the body.

What you can expect from Facial Mole Removal

Mole removal on face procedures typically take around 30 minutes. The operation is carried out under local anaesthetic, and the recovery outcomes are excellent with minimal scarring.

I recently had two cysts on my head removed by Simon and his lovely nurse Becky. They made me feel at ease and the quality and care was very professional. Simon explained everything in detail, was extremely focused and Becky was just the tonic to settle any nerves.

There was very little discomfort, the aftercare was explained in detail and I’m happy to say, after 6 weeks the results are amazing.

I would highly recommend Simon and his team without hesitation.

I would like to express my thanks to Simon Payne for the removal of the two large anal skin tags that were a terrible nuisance.

The procedure was painless due to the application of the numbing gel and subsequent injections and was completed quite quickly.

I had expected a lengthy healing process but was very surprised that after two to three weeks with little pain and no bleeding the problem had been successfully resolved.

I would certainly recommend consulting at his surgery and it was also far less expensive than other private clinics. Ten out of ten!

Simon removed four cysts from my head. He was very kind, attentive and a good listener during consultation. He explained everything clearly and I felt happy and confident to go ahead with the procedure. The removal took just 45 minutes and I am delighted with the results. In 6 weeks everything was healed and stitches gone, and no after care was needed. Thank you Simon.
