Surgical Instruments are disposable

A recent patient was concerned regarding the process of sterilising the surgical instruments that I use.

He was reassured that all the instruments are single-use disposable items.

Years ago, single use instruments were very rudimentary and it would not have been possible to carry out this level of meticulous surgery with disposables – it would be like playing a piano concerto wearing gloves!

These modern fine accurate instruments are all single use. I find it hard to discard such precise tools after use but absolute sterility is guaranteed.

Sometimes patients do not voice things that may be worrying them – I hope I am a surgeon who is approachable with even seemingly minor concerns.

If you have varicose veins, thread veins, unwanted mole, lipoma, skin tag, cyst, torn earlobe or xanthelasma please ask me to help. I am patient focussed, meticulous and (I try to be!) approachable.
