Solent Vascular Care is the private surgical practice and registered company of Simon Payne MD FRCS LRSM, Consultant Vascular and General Surgeon.
Mr Payne has been a Consultant Vascular and General Surgeon on the GMC specialist register since 1998. His NHS role was at the extremely busy 997-bed Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth. Here he developed awake carotid endarterectomy to prevent stroke – performing approximately 1000 such cases over his NHS career as well as performing and teaching countless other major emergency and planned operations.
Simon Payne’s role now still revolves around the welfare of his patients but in a private capacity. The treatments range from laser surgery for varicose veins through removal of lipomas, moles and cysts to repair of earlobes and removal of fatty deposits (Xanthelasma) from the eyelids.
What you can expect
Your first contact may be through a phone call or email followed by a consultation at one of the clinics. Many people like to combine their consultation visit with their surgery if it is straightforward such as mole or cyst removal. For varicose veins the consultation process is quite involved and incorporates colour duplex scanning so therefore the treatment visit will be later.
All treatment is carried out whilst awake under local anaesthetic and you will be able to return home swiftly.
Please do get in touch – let us know if you would like an initial telephone call or if you would like to arrange a consultation.
We look forward to seeing you.
